Okay, I know everyone knows everything about Harry Potter, but HP is my all time favorite fantasy series. And I am a HUGE fan of the movies. In fact, every year I hold a Harry Potter Fest for my kids. Each night for several nights in a row we watch all the HP movies. We load up with all our favorite goodies: popcorn, licorice, nachos & soda! We collect our HP stuff and wear our Gryffindor shirts (except for Carissa who always wears Slytherin) and we gorge ourselves on everything HP!- Blogging From A to Z Giveaway - Win A $20 Amazon Gift Cerificate

I cried during the last movie, The Deathly Hallows Part II because I was heartbroken to say good-bye. But Harry, Hermoine & Ron live on not only in my beloved DVD and book collections, but also in the e-book world.
If you haven't heard, Harry Potter is now available for e-readers! Everyone stand up and scream now! (Okay, sit down.) You can download them at J.K. Rowling's new site POTTERMORE.
Cool beans! I think Harry Potter will always hold a special place in society. It will stay relevant for a new generation.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the challenge!

I think Captain Picard would still win in a fight to the death with Harry Potter. Who needs a wand when you have a starship?
ReplyDeleteI miss Capt. Picard and the whole Next Generation gang. Never missed an episode. I used to tape them onto VHS. Nice to have a fellow Trekky on board. Welcome!
DeleteYay, we both Harry Pottered for H. I was a sobbing mess during most of Deathly Hallows Part 2 as well. I didn't want the movies to be over. My kids and I are going to do an HP movie marathon this summer. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteLOVE HP!! Can't get enough of it either. I love your tradition and am thinking of starting something like that in my family now...
