- Win an ARC of THE ROCK OF IVANORE in The Children's Books Giveaway Hop (Ends 5/13)
- Help me win free ad space in the LDS Books & Things Catalog
- My first book signings: A Report
- Book Review: Shadows In Flight by Orson Scott Card

Welcome to the LDS AUTHORS GIVEAWAY HOP sponsored by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer & The Book Bug. As an LDS author myself, I very pleased to participating in this special hop.

My giveaway prize is 2011 Whitney Award Best Novel By A New Author & Best Youth Fiction (General Category):

Description:
When Ollie’s daddy, the Reverend Everlasting Love, pulls their travel trailer into Binder to lead a three-day revival, Ollie knows that this town will be like all the others they visit— it is exactly the kind of nothing Ollie has come to expect. But on their first day in town, Ollie meets Jimmy Koppel, whose mother is in jail for murdering his father. Jimmy insists that his mother is innocent, and Ollie believes him. Still, even if Ollie convinces her daddy to stay in town, how can two kids free a grown woman who has signed a confession?  Ollie’s longing for a friend and her daddy’s penchant for searching out lost souls prove to be a formidable force in this tiny town where everyone seems bent on judging and jailing without a trial.

Kirkus gave With A Name Like Love a starred review: "Hilmo creates a family, a town and a mystery that readers won't soon forget ... A story about the meaning of home, justice and love, beautifully told."

School Library Journal named it one the Best Fiction Books of 2011.

  8. It's funny. When I think of LDS books, I think of religious fiction. But my favorite book by an LDS author is Rapunzel's Revenge by Shannon Hale.
