THE ROCK OF IVANORE NEEDS YOUR HELP

My friends, fans and followers -

I need your help.

I just got off the phone with my publisher who had some disappointing news. Despite an agreement to carry my book, The Rock of Ivanore, in stores nationwide, Barnes & Noble has failed to order the books. This means that none of the stores have my book in stock, which means dismal sales, which means a bleak future for the sequel and subsequent books in the series.

How can this be fixed?

If enough local B&N stores request the title, then maybe corporate will fulfill their contract with Tanglewood Press and order the books for distribution. If you have a Barnes & Noble in your home town, please speak with the store's book buyer and ask them to carry The Rock of Ivanore. It would be great if it could be stocked in time for the holidays. It would be even better if indie bookstores carried it, too.

    That stinks! I'm so sorry. :(
    Is there any way to help out without supporting B&N? Are they counting Amazon orders, and independent book store sales??

      Yes, I know Once Upon A Time in Montrose & Children's Book World both carry it. My publisher sent an ARC and promo info to just about every indie bookstore in the nation. I don't which ones carry it or not, but all it takes is mentioning it to the store owner and often they are willing to stock it. In this particular circumstance, B&N actually made an agreement with my pub to carry it in their stores but has not followed through. The immediate goal is to simply get them to live up to their agreement and stock the book. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

    Laurisa, I also just requested that LA County Public Library purchase your book. Hopefully other folks can request at their library as well.
