MEET ARTIST KATHY EVERTS, IVANORE'S MAP MASTER

Anyone who's read high fantasy (ie. Lord of the Rings, Eragon, etc.) will know that including a map in the beginning of the book is a longstanding tradition. Since writing a fantasy novel involves creating an entirely fictional world in which the story takes place, having a map comes in handy in helping readers get a visual of what this world should look like.

Like so many great fantasy novels before it, The Rock of Ivanore has such a map. And I am thrilled that its artist happens to be my dear friend Kathy Everts.

In the February issue of my newsletter, I introduced my book's cover artist, Tristan Elwell. Today I'd like to introduce Kathy as my book's interior artist. I bought a new Kodak Sportplay video recorder and tried it out by interviewing Kathy today. (My oldest son, Marc, was my handy dandy cameraman. And my youngest, Jarett, makes a brief cameo appearance.)

So without further ado, heeeeere's Kathy! (Oh, it's in 2 parts!)
